Who We Are

2,000 Spays and Neuters is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that was established to neuter, spay, vaccinate, provide emergency care and find homes for 2,000 stray dogs and cats. With the support of generous contributors and the commitment of area veterinarians and volunteers, we have far surpassed this original goal. In addition to continuing to provide these services for thousands of animals, 2,000 Spays and Neuters now also visits classrooms, bringing animals and coloring books which teach children how to take care of living creatures and educates the children about the importance and responsibility involved in having a pet. Our organization also works with Humane Societies and other rescue organizations throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean to spread its rescue and adoption models.

At 2,000 Spays and Neuters our mission is to rescue, spay and neuter, vaccinate, and find homes for stray cats and dogs. We are a no-kill shelter and never turn an animal away, no matter its condition.

We were able to adopt out 20% more animals then the six month period last year this was made possible by a grant from Maddie's FundĀ®, www.maddiesfund.org.
